- 1 pound (450g) ground beef
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup of your favorite sauce (ketchup, barbecue sauce, or a savory blend)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, and half of the chosen sauce.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until everything is well incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture into the greased loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.
- Brush the remaining sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using lean ground beef, and don’t hesitate to incorporate extra seasonings or chopped vegetables.
