Description

Deliciously crispy and sweet air fryer apple fries, perfect for sharing and dipping.


Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep the apples by peeling if desired and cutting them into fry-like sticks. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Set up your coating stations: Bowl 1 for flour, Bowl 2 for whisked egg and milk, Bowl 3 for panko breadcrumbs mixed with sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Dredge each apple stick in the flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.
  4. Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick cooking spray and place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7-9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.

Notes

Experiment with different apple varieties and dips like caramel or yogurt for added flavor.
