Description

Deliciously crispy fried onions made in the air fryer, perfect for topping dishes or enjoying as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 large onions
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil spray

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions into thin rings and soak them in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Mix the flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Drain the onions and coat them thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Place the coated onions in the air fryer basket in a single layer, and spray lightly with oil.
  6. Air fry for about 10-15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve hot.
