Ingredients
48 frozen bite-sized potato nuggets (Tater Tots), thawed
3 slices thick-cut bacon
1 pound lean ground beef (85/15 fat ratio)
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Montreal steak seasoning
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar blend cheese
Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Cooking spray
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray 24-cup mini muffin tin with cooking spray. Place two tater tots in each cup.
2. Bake tater tots for 15 minutes until warmed through. Press into cup shapes using back of spoon.
3. Cook bacon in cold skillet over medium-high heat until crispy, 5-6 minutes total. Drain and chop.
4. Cook ground beef in same skillet until browned, about 6-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
5. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and steak seasoning. Cool 10 minutes.
6. Mix in chopped bacon and cheese. Fill tater tot cups with beef mixture.
7. Bake filled cups 10 minutes until cheese melts and tops are golden brown.
8. Let cool 3-5 minutes before removing. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, ensure tater tots are fully thawed before baking.
Don’t overfill the cups – about 1 tablespoon of filling per cup is perfect.
Can be made ahead – prepare beef filling up to 2 days in advance.
Leftovers keep 3 days refrigerated. Reheat in 350°F oven for 7-8 minutes.
