- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) olive oil
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) onion powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) salt
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 grams) chopped fresh parsley
- 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) beef bacon strips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix venison, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Add olive oil to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, mix shredded cheddar cheese and cream cheese until smooth.
- Divide the cheese mixture into small, even portions.
- Take a portion of the venison mixture and flatten it into a disc.
- Place a cheese portion in the center of the venison disc.
- Carefully fold the venison around the cheese, forming a ball.
- Repeat the process until all venison and cheese are used.
- Wrap each venison ball with a strip of beef bacon.
- Place the bacon-wrapped venison bombs on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
- Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the cooked venison bombs.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Season the ground beef generously with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt for a flavorful filling. Distribute the cheese mixture evenly in each venison ball for a gooey, melty center. Wrap the venison bombs securely with beef bacon strips before baking to keep them intact. Garnish with fresh parsley post-baking for a vibrant touch of color and freshness.
