- 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add finely chopped mushrooms to the skillet.
- Sauté mushrooms until they are tender and moisture is evaporated.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed mushrooms, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients until well combined.
- Form the mixture into four equal sausage patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the sausage patties for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
- Sprinkle Swiss cheese evenly over each patty in the last minute of cooking.
