Description

A comforting and savory dish of seared beef tips cooked in a rich gravy, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless beef, cut into bite-sized pieces (Boneless chuck roast is ideal)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 packet gravy mix, your choice of flavor
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for searing the beef)
  • Fresh herbs, for garnish (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the bite-sized pieces of boneless beef and season with salt and pepper. Sear the beef until browned on all sides, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the chopped onions, allowing them to soften for around 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, ensuring every beef piece is coated.
  5. Add the packet of gravy mix and the beef broth. Stir well to combine.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer and allow it to thicken for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles for the best experience. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
