- 1 ½ lbs beef (sirloin, stew meat, or flank steak)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion (diced)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz egg noodles
- Fresh parsley or parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
- Cut the beef into bite-sized chunks.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Add the beef chunks to the skillet and brown on all sides.
- Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- While the beef simmers, boil water in a large pot and cook the egg noodles until al dente. Drain them and add to the skillet.
- Mix everything together and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or parmesan cheese.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate beef in garlic, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Add vegetables like carrots or peas for extra nutrients.
