A comforting beef pot roast cooked effortlessly in a crockpot, with tender meat and flavorful vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 34 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 carrots, cut into chunks
  • 3 potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onions in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary, then place it on top of the onions.
  3. Add the minced garlic, carrots, and potatoes around the roast.
  4. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the top.
  5. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 480 minutes or high for 300 minutes, until the meat is tender.
  6. Serve the roast with the vegetables.

Notes

Optional: Brown the roast briefly before placing it in the crockpot for added flavor.
