Description

Delicious Italian meatballs cooked in a rich marinara sauce, perfect for family gatherings and festive dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, basil, egg, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. In a large saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve the meatballs with pasta or in a sub sandwich.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh herbs. Allow the mixture to rest before forming meatballs to improve binding.
