Description
Delicious shrimp pasta with garlic and olive oil, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 ounces of spaghetti or linguine
- 1 pound of fresh shrimp, cleaned and deveined
- 4–5 cloves of garlic, minced or thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and a pinch of red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic turns golden, releasing its aroma.
- Stir in the fresh shrimp. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, flipping the shrimp halfway through until pink and opaque.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to combine everything evenly.
- Drizzle with lemon juice and stir to incorporate the flavors.
- Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for that added touch.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using butter instead of olive oil or adding seasonal vegetables like cherry tomatoes or zucchini.
