  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed and divided
  • 2 boxes (3.9 oz each) chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • Chocolate shavings or curls for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the brownie mix instructions.
  2. Prepare and bake the brownies in a 9×13-inch pan as directed.
  3. Allow the brownies to cool completely before adding the layers.
  4. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Fold in half of the whipped topping until combined.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled brownie layer.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes).
  8. Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  9. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  10. Garnish with chocolate shavings or curls.
  11. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to set.
