Description

A rich and decadent dessert combining layers of brownie and cheesecake topped with a luscious caramel swirl.


Ingredients

  • 1 package brownie mix (follow the additional instructions on the package)
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling on top)
  • Whipped cream for garnish
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Prepare the brownie batter according to the instructions on the package.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake according to package instructions.
  5. Allow the brownie base to cool completely.
  6. Decrease the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C).
  7. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.
  8. Add the vanilla extract, eggs, sour cream, and heavy cream, blending until completely smooth.
  9. Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie base.
  10. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the cheesecake and swirl gently.
  11. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until the center is set yet slightly jiggly.
  12. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for about an hour.
  13. Remove the cheesecake and cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  14. Before serving, garnish with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and chocolate shavings.

Notes

Allow the brownie to cool completely before adding the cheesecake layer to prevent melting. Consider using a water bath for better texture.
