A rich and decadent dessert combining layers of brownie and cheesecake topped with a luscious caramel swirl.

- 1 package brownie mix (follow the additional instructions on the package)
- 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling on top)
- Whipped cream for garnish
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Prepare the brownie batter according to the instructions on the package.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake according to package instructions.
- Allow the brownie base to cool completely.
- Decrease the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract, eggs, sour cream, and heavy cream, blending until completely smooth.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie base.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the cheesecake and swirl gently.
- Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until the center is set yet slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for about an hour.
- Remove the cheesecake and cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Before serving, garnish with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and chocolate shavings.
Notes
Allow the brownie to cool completely before adding the cheesecake layer to prevent melting. Consider using a water bath for better texture.
