Description

A deliciously rich caramel cake layered with chocolate ganache and whipped cream, perfect for celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel chocolate ganache
  • 1 cup caramel whipped cream frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, beat the brown sugar and vegetable oil until combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until fully combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.
  7. Once cooled, layer the cakes with caramel chocolate ganache in between. Frost the top and sides with caramel whipped cream frosting.
  8. Decorate as desired and serve.

Notes

For a delightful contrast, consider adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the ganache.
