  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s vegetable oil
  • 2 cup (480 ml) s chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sesame oil
  • 2 cup (480 ml) s cooked white rice
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, and rice vinegar to prepare the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in the marinade and let them soak for a minimum of 20 minutes.
  3. Warm up vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken thighs on both sides until they are caramelized and fully cooked. Take them out and keep them aside.

  5. Add chicken broth and sesame oil into the pan. Allow it to come to a gentle boil and reduce slightly.
  6. Cut the cooked chicken into slices and return them to the broth to heat for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Present the chicken and broth atop bowls of cooked white rice.
  8. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish.

Notes
