Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, shredded cheese, onion, bell pepper, eggs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray and transfer the meat mixture into the dish, shaping it into a loaf.
- Pour marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Letting the meatloaf rest after baking helps keep it moist and improves texture.
