Description
A rich, comforting Chicken Feet Soup packed with collagen and nutrients. Perfect for skin health, joint support, and a delicious way to enjoy a traditional, sustainable dish.
Ingredients
10 chicken feet, cleaned and nails removed
2 liters of water
1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
3 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons ginger, minced
2 stalks of celery, chopped
1 large carrot, peeled and sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional herbs (e.g., parsley, thyme)
Instructions
1. Thoroughly clean chicken feet, remove nails and any remaining feathers. Rinse under cold water.
2. Place chicken feet into a large pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 1-2 hours, skimming impurities from the surface.
3. Add onions, garlic, ginger, celery, and carrots to the pot. Simmer for another 30-40 minutes.
4. Season soup with salt, pepper, and optional herbs to taste.
5. Serve hot as a nourishing meal or a soothing broth.
Notes
Use frozen chicken feet if fresh is unavailable—just thaw them first.
Skim broth while simmering for a clearer soup.
Do not overcook chicken feet to maintain structure.
For extra flavor, add a splash of soy sauce or rice wine.
Pairs wonderfully with rice or steamed vegetables.
