Description
A festive and delicious cheese ball wreath with taco flavors, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (16 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 1/2 packet taco seasoning
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro, stems removed
- 4 green onions, roughly chopped
- 1 (4 oz) can diced green chile peppers
- 1 medium Roma tomato, cored and diced
- 2 tbsp finely chopped white onion
- 1 medium jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
Instructions
- Line a 16-ounce bowl with plastic wrap, allowing extra wrap to hang over the edges for easy removal.
- In a food processor, blend the softened cream cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, and taco seasoning until well combined.
- Add half of the cilantro, green onions, and diced green chiles, then pulse a few times to incorporate without fully processing.
- Transfer the cheese mixture into the lined bowl, smoothing it out to form a round shape. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to firm up.
- Once chilled, gently invert the cheese onto a serving platter and remove the plastic wrap.
- Use a shot glass or spoon to create a small hole in the center to form the wreath shape.
- Finely chop the remaining cilantro and sprinkle it over the top.
- In a small bowl, combine the diced tomato, chopped onion, and finely chopped jalapeño pepper, and arrange this mixture in a visually appealing ring around the wreath.
Notes
Customize the spice level with more jalapeños or by adding smoked paprika for a richer flavor.
