Description

These festive breadsticks merge the flavors of creamy spinach dip with the visual charm of a Christmas tree, making them a must-have appetizer for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cans refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll sheets
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine all the spinach dip ingredients until you achieve a creamy texture.
  3. Roll out one sheet of dough into a large triangle shape and trim any excess dough.
  4. Spread the spinach dip evenly over the triangle of dough.
  5. Roll out the second sheet of dough into a matching triangle, placing it on top of the dip-covered triangle.
  6. With a sharp knife, cut horizontal lines on both sides of the triangle, leaving the center intact.
  7. Twist each strip away from the center to create spirals.
  8. Brush the twisted breadsticks with an egg wash.
  9. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and extra Parmesan on top.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding cayenne pepper to the dip or experimenting with different cheese blends.
