Description

A delightful cross between churros and cheesecake, this dessert combines a flaky crust with a creamy filling, evoking nostalgia and joy.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a baking dish and line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon.
  4. Unroll one package of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the dish.
  5. In another bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, ¾ cup of granulated sugar, the large egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the dough, spreading it evenly.
  7. Lay the second package of crescent roll dough over the cream cheese layer, sealing the edges.
  8. Pour the melted butter over the top dough layer, followed by the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Chilling the assembled cheesecake before baking can enhance the flavor. Feel free to add chocolate chips or caramel for variations.
