- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease or line your 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and brown sugar.
- Stir in the eggs and vanilla until smooth.
- Gently fold in the flour and salt. Be mindful—do not overmix.
- To create the cinnamon swirl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a separate bowl until it resembles wet sand.
- Spread the blondie batter evenly in your prepared baking pan.
- Add spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the top, and gently swirl using a butter knife.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out mostly clean.
- Cool completely before icing.
- For the icing, beat the softened cream cheese until it’s smooth.
- Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, mixing until creamy.
- Drizzle the icing over the cooled blondies.
Notes
Use room temperature eggs for better blending and consider sprinkling some cinnamon mixture on top for a beautiful finish.
