A comforting and flavorful dish of homemade Italian meatballs, perfect for pasta or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Soak the breadcrumbs in milk for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, soaked breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, pepper, and egg.
  3. Mix until just combined.
  4. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
  6. Cook the meatballs for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until browned and cooked through.
  7. Serve with pasta, in a sub, or as an appetizer.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcrowding the skillet while cooking the meatballs. Experiment with additional herbs and spices to suit your taste.
