Description

Delicious cookies made with Oreo cookies and a buttery dough, perfect for parties or cozy evenings at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 10 Oreo cookies (plus 23 more for adding on top)

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well until unified.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into your wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies until evenly blended.
  6. Scoop about three tablespoons of dough, rolling it into a ball.
  7. Place the dough balls two inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Push some extra crushed Oreo pieces on top of each dough ball.
  9. Bake for approximately 11 minutes or until the bottoms turn golden brown.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature butter and check the freshness of your leavening agents.
