- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 lb potatoes, diced
- 4 slices crispy bacon, chopped
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional for sautéing)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook for about 8 minutes.
- Add the green beans to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes until both are tender.
- Drain the vegetables and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels, leaving some grease in the skillet.
- Add the drained green beans and potatoes to the skillet and sprinkle the ranch seasoning over them.
- Toss to coat the vegetables evenly in the seasoning and bacon grease.
- Fold in the crispy bacon, season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot.
Notes
For added flavor, consider sautéing the vegetables in olive oil before adding the bacon grease. Adjust the seasoning according to personal preference.
