- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions
- Prepare the onion by cutting off the top and removing the outer skin. Slice the onion from the top into petals but do not cut all the way through.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- Dip the onion into the buttermilk, coating it thoroughly.
- Dredge the onion in the flour mixture, ensuring even coverage.
- After coating, place the onion in the buttermilk again and then into the breadcrumbs for a crispy outer layer.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the onion in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
