- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (60 ml)
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened (60 g)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying (30 ml)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground venison, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, green onions, and parsley.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt to the mixture.
- Pour in the beaten egg and mix until well combined.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the cream cheese with the barbecue sauce until smooth.
- Take a small portion of the venison mixture and flatten it in your hand.
- Place a small dollop of the cream cheese mixture in the center.
- Gently shape the venison mixture around the cream cheese, forming a ball.
- Repeat the process with the remaining mixture.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the venison balls to the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd.
- Fry the balls until they are golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
