Authentic and comforting crispy ground venison egg rolls filled with flavorful vegetables, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground venison
  • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in ground venison and cook until browned.
  4. Mix in cabbage, carrots, and green onions, cooking until vegetables are tender.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and combine well.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  7. Place about 2 tablespoons of the mixture in the center of an egg roll wrapper.
  8. Fold in the sides and roll tightly.
  9. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  11. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, make sure the oil is the right temperature before frying. Adjust seasoning to taste before wrapping.
