Description
Deliciously crispy Brussels sprouts roasted with a sweet and tangy honey-balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Fresh Brussels Sprouts
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard (optional)
- 2 cloves Garlic (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Trim the stems off the Brussels sprouts and halve them. Remove any yellow leaves for enhanced flavor.
- Dry the sprouts thoroughly with a paper towel. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the sprouts cut-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet, making sure to leave space between them.
- Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping the sprouts halfway through, until they turn golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- While the sprouts roast, prepare the glaze. In a saucepan, heat balsamic vinegar, honey, and Dijon mustard (if using) over medium heat. Stir until slightly thickened. If using garlic, stir it in at the end to preserve its flavor.
- Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, transfer them to a bowl and drizzle the warm honey-balsamic glaze over them. For added zest, sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
