A delicious and easy-to-make brown sugar pineapple ham prepared in a slow cooker, perfect for holidays or special occasions. The combination of sweet brown sugar and tangy pineapple creates an irresistible glaze.

- 1 boneless or bone-in ham (5–7 pounds)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices in juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 10–12 maraschino cherries (optional)
Instructions
- Score ham in diamond pattern, cutting 1/4 inch deep.
- Combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, honey, Dijon mustard, cloves, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Place ham in slow cooker, flat side down.
- Pour 3/4 of glaze over ham, working into scored cuts.
- Arrange pineapple slices and cherries around ham, securing with toothpicks.
- Cook on LOW for 4-5 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours until internal temperature reaches 140°F.
- Transfer cooking juices to saucepan, add apple cider, and simmer.
- Create cornstarch slurry and whisk into simmering liquid until thickened.
- Pour final glaze over ham and cook additional 15-30 minutes on LOW.
Notes
- Line slow cooker with liner for easy cleanup
- Maple syrup can substitute for honey
- Pineapple chunks work as well as slices
- Stone ground mustard can replace Dijon
- For best results, cook on LOW setting
- Baste ham during last 30 minutes of cooking
