Ingredients

  • 1 boneless or bone-in ham (57 pounds)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices in juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1012 maraschino cherries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Score ham in diamond pattern, cutting 1/4 inch deep.
  2. Combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, honey, Dijon mustard, cloves, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Place ham in slow cooker, flat side down.
  4. Pour 3/4 of glaze over ham, working into scored cuts.
  5. Arrange pineapple slices and cherries around ham, securing with toothpicks.
  6. Cook on LOW for 4-5 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours until internal temperature reaches 140°F.
  7. Transfer cooking juices to saucepan, add apple cider, and simmer.
  8. Create cornstarch slurry and whisk into simmering liquid until thickened.
  9. Pour final glaze over ham and cook additional 15-30 minutes on LOW.
