A comforting slow cooker meal combining tender cubed steak, creamy potatoes, and savory toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs steak (cubed)
  • 4 large potatoes (diced)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed steak and diced potatoes in the slow cooker.
  2. Add chopped onion, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or until the steak and potatoes are tender.
  5. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the shredded cheese and crumbled bacon.
  6. Stir again, cover, and let the cheese melt.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

Experiment with adding herbs or spices like rosemary or paprika for extra flavor. If you like a thicker stew, add a cornstarch slurry near the end of cooking.
