Description
Indulgent bites of jellied cranberry sauce coated in silky dark chocolate, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (14-ounce) can of jellied cranberry sauce
- 16 ounces of dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (optional for smoother dipping)
Instructions
- Open the can of cranberry sauce and cut it into approximately ½-inch thick discs.
- Place the sauce rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat on high for 1 minute, then stir.
- Continue heating in 15-second increments, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each cranberry slice in melted chocolate using a fork and allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place the coated slices back on the lined baking sheet.
- Repeat until all slices are coated and return to freezer for 30 minutes until set.
Notes
For added flavor, consider sprinkling sea salt or crushed nuts on top of the chocolate before it sets. Store bites in an airtight container in the freezer for optimal freshness.
