Description

Indulgent double chocolate banana bread made with ripe bananas and rich cocoa, packed with gooey chocolate chips for a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
  6. Add the flour and cocoa powder and stir until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for about 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

For a thicker loaf, use a smaller loaf pan; for a flatter loaf, use a larger one. Leftover bananas can be frozen for future baking.
