Description

Duchess Potatoes are a delightful fusion of creamy mashed potatoes and culinary artistry, delivering a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel and chop potatoes into uniform chunks.
  3. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  5. Mash with butter, heavy cream, Parmesan, and season with salt and pepper until smooth.
  6. Cool slightly, then mix in the egg yolk.
  7. Transfer mixture to a piping bag and pipe onto a baking sheet into desired shapes.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
  9. Garnish with parsley before serving hot.
