Description
Simple and delightful brown sugar cookies made with just three ingredients. Perfectly chewy with a hint of caramel flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup salted butter, softened to room temperature
- ½ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened salted butter with the brown sugar until creamy and soft.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until no dry pockets remain and you achieve a thick dough.
- Roll the dough into balls, roughly 2 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet with at least 2 inches of space in between.
- Gently flatten the cookie tops using the palm of your hand for an even bake.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges turn golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Consider adding chocolate chips or nuts for variety. Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
