Description

Simple and delightful brown sugar cookies made with just three ingredients. Perfectly chewy with a hint of caramel flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup salted butter, softened to room temperature
  • ½ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened salted butter with the brown sugar until creamy and soft.
  3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until no dry pockets remain and you achieve a thick dough.
  4. Roll the dough into balls, roughly 2 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet with at least 2 inches of space in between.
  5. Gently flatten the cookie tops using the palm of your hand for an even bake.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges turn golden.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Consider adding chocolate chips or nuts for variety. Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
