- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 6 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
- For the egg wash: 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions
- Stir warm milk and yeast together in a large bowl. Let sit for a few minutes.

- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with cling wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 90 minutes until doubled in size.
- Punch down dough, turn out, and divide into 12 pieces, rolling each into a ball.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment, place rolls on it, and brush with egg wash. Let rise again for 30-45 minutes.

- For garlic butter, melt salted butter, sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes, then mix in parsley. Brush rolls with garlic butter after baking.
Notes
Use a kitchen thermometer to ensure the milk is at the right temperature for yeast activation. Adjust garlic quantity in the garlic butter to taste.
