- 1 lb ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup low-carb tomato sauce
- 1 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers, onions, etc.)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground meat to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Season with Italian herbs, allowing the flavors to blend.
- Mix cream cheese and a portion of mozzarella in a separate bowl until smooth.
- Add chopped vegetables to the skillet, cooking until softened.
- Layer half the meat mixture into a baking dish.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture across the first layer.
- Add the remaining meat mixture on top.
- Pour tomato sauce evenly over the meat layer.
- Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese over everything.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
Finely chop the vegetables for even distribution. Layer ingredients vertically for a balanced bite.
