This easy low carb pizza casserole mimics the essence of traditional pizza, offering comforting flavors with minimal carbs.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup low-carb tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers, onions, etc.)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add ground meat to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks.
  4. Season with Italian herbs, allowing the flavors to blend.
  5. Mix cream cheese and a portion of mozzarella in a separate bowl until smooth.
  6. Add chopped vegetables to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  7. Layer half the meat mixture into a baking dish.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture across the first layer.
  9. Add the remaining meat mixture on top.
  10. Pour tomato sauce evenly over the meat layer.
  11. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese over everything.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Finely chop the vegetables for even distribution. Layer ingredients vertically for a balanced bite.
