Description

A rich and comforting slow-cooked dish that delivers all the flavor and tenderness you crave with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds cubed beef stew meat (trimmed of large fat pieces)
  • 1 package brown gravy (e.g., McCormick’s)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 8 oz baby portabella mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Optional: Brown the cubed beef stew meat in a skillet for extra flavor, then skip this step if pressed for time.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the brown gravy, cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and beef broth. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour the mixture into the slow cooker.
  4. Add the cubed beef into the slow cooker with the liquid mixture. Stir until the beef is well coated.
  5. Cook on high for 3 1/2 hours or on low for 7 hours, until the meat is tender and falls apart easily.

Notes

For optimal flavor, ensure the beef is well-coated with the sauce. Avoid lifting the lid of the slow cooker to maintain the cooking temperature.
