Description

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, chives, cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes under running water. Pat them dry.
  3. Prick each potato several times with a fork.
  4. Rub the potatoes with olive oil, then sprinkle salt and pepper over them.
  5. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack.
  6. Bake for 45-60 minutes, until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the flesh.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  8. Serve with your choice of toppings.
