Description

A comforting and hearty beef stew made in a slow cooker, filled with rich flavors and tender meat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, add the beef, carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic.
  2. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir to combine all ingredients.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

Consider browning the beef for added flavor. Add potatoes halfway through cooking to prevent mushiness. You can also add greens like spinach or kale before serving.
