- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions (8-10 minutes), then drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, breaking into crumbles.
- Add sliced onion to the beef and cook for 5-8 minutes until onions are soft and caramelized.
- Stir in beef broth, soy sauce, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Assemble in a baking dish: layer noodles on the bottom, pour beef and onion mixture over noodles, and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly with golden spots.
- Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
