A delightful combination of juicy beef patties and gooey Colby-Jack cheese, grilled to perfection, making it the ultimate comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound 85% lean ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal-style steak seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 6 slices Colby-Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, parsley, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and steak seasoning. Mix until thoroughly combined and form into three equal patties.
  2. Heat a nonstick griddle over medium heat. Cook the burgers to your desired doneness, about 4 to 6 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches at least 160 degrees F (71 degrees C). Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Warm a second griddle over medium heat. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place half of the bread on the griddle, buttered-side down.
  4. Add a slice of Colby-Jack cheese, a beef patty, and another slice of cheese to each, then top with the remaining bread, buttered-side up.
  5. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts, about 6 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Notes

Let the patties rest after cooking to allow juices to redistribute. Thicker bread yields a better crunch.
