  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, sliced about 1/2" thick
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire or soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (or herbs of choice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup cheese (feta, cotija, parmesan, or cheddar)
  • 2 Tablespoons minced parsley or cilantro

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat your grill to medium-high to high heat and clean the grill grates thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, combine the oil, minced garlic, Worcestershire or soy sauce, dried herbs, lemon pepper seasoning, chili powder, and onion powder. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Brush the marinade generously on both sides of the cauliflower slices. Sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Gently place the marinated cauliflower steaks on the grill and cook for about 2-4 minutes on each side, looking for nice char and crispy edges.
  5. Flip carefully to maintain the integrity of each cauliflower slice.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the grilled cauliflower steaks to a platter. Sprinkle your choice of cheese over the hot steaks so it melts beautifully.
  7. Finish with a sprinkle of minced parsley or cilantro for added freshness.
