A healthy twist on pizza featuring layers of zucchini, ground meat, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients

- 4 medium zucchinis, sliced
- 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
- Optional toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the ground meat. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Layer half of the sliced zucchini in a baking dish, followed by half of the cooked ground meat. Pour half of the marinara sauce over this layer and sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your guilt-free pizza experience!
Notes
For best results, salt the sliced zucchini and let it sit for 15 minutes to prevent a watery casserole.
