A rich and versatile homemade balsamic glaze sauce that enhances the flavor of various dishes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and kosher salt.
  2. Place over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Allow the balsamic mixture to come to a boil and cook for 4-5 more minutes until it reduces by half.
  4. Remove from heat and transfer to a container safe from the heated sauce.
  5. Let cool and refrigerate.

Notes

Taste the glaze as you go and adjust sugar or salt based on your preference. For a thicker glaze, cook it longer.
