- 1 fully cooked bone-in spiral ham (8 lbs)
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp Bayou City Lemon Pepper
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Layer sliced oranges in a shallow roasting pan and pour orange juice over them.
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, orange marmalade, and salt over medium heat. Stir until smooth and let bubble for about 4 minutes.
- Pour half of the glaze over the ham and place it in the oven uncovered for 50 minutes.
- After 50 minutes, pour the remaining glaze over the ham and bake for an additional 20 minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
- Remove from the oven, tent with foil, and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.
- Serve with the remaining glaze on the side.
Notes
For a thicker glaze, simmer it longer. You can also add zest from the orange for extra flavor.
