- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, or sage)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
- Optional: 1 undrained can of green chilis
- Optional: Chili powder and chili seasoning
- Optional: Shredded cheese for topping
Instructions
- Bring ground venison to room temperature (15 minutes)
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent (3-4 minutes)
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (30 seconds)
- Add ground venison, breaking into small pieces with a spatula
- Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned but slightly pink in center
- Add Worcestershire sauce and remaining seasonings
- If making chili or tacos, add appropriate seasonings now
- Cook for 1-2 additional minutes until flavors meld
- Remove from heat and let rest for 3-5 minutes before serving
