- 1 box of cake mix (chocolate, vanilla, or preferred flavor)
- Desired flavors of ice cream (e.g., chocolate, mint, strawberry, vanilla)
- Whipped cream or frosting for decorating
- Optional toppings (sprinkles, nuts, fruits, chocolate sauce)
Instructions
- Bake your chosen cake according to the instructions on the package. Allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Line an appropriate cake pan with parchment paper. Place one layer of cake at the bottom of the pan.
- Soften your chosen ice cream slightly and spread it evenly over the cake layer.
- Add an additional layer of cake, pressing down gently.
- Repeat layers with more ice cream and cake until you fill the pan. The final layer should be ice cream.
- Spread whipped cream or frosting over the top to give a decorative finish.
- Freeze the cake for at least 240 minutes, or until completely firm.
- Once frozen, remove the cake from the pan, and slice to serve.
Notes
Allow the cake to freeze for a full four hours or overnight if possible for best results.
