  • Desired flavors of ice cream (e.g., chocolate, mint, strawberry, vanilla)
  • Whipped cream or frosting for decorating
  • Optional toppings (sprinkles, nuts, fruits, chocolate sauce)

Instructions

  1. Bake your chosen cake according to the instructions on the package. Allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Line an appropriate cake pan with parchment paper. Place one layer of cake at the bottom of the pan.
  3. Soften your chosen ice cream slightly and spread it evenly over the cake layer.
  4. Add an additional layer of cake, pressing down gently.
  5. Repeat layers with more ice cream and cake until you fill the pan. The final layer should be ice cream.
  6. Spread whipped cream or frosting over the top to give a decorative finish.
  7. Freeze the cake for at least 240 minutes, or until completely firm.
  8. Once frozen, remove the cake from the pan, and slice to serve.

Notes

Allow the cake to freeze for a full four hours or overnight if possible for best results.
