  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons water (or chicken broth preferred)
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper. Set them aside.
  2. Combine the honey, sugar, soy sauce, water, and cayenne pepper in a bowl, mixing thoroughly.
  3. Turn on the sauté mode on your Instant Pot. Once heated, add one tablespoon of cooking oil.
  4. Place the chicken thighs skin side down into the pot and sear until golden brown.
  5. Add the remaining half-tablespoon of oil, toss in the minced garlic, and sauté for a minute.
  6. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, ensuring even coverage. Secure the lid on the Instant Pot.
  7. Select the manual setting and adjust the pressure to high for 10 minutes.
  8. When the timer beeps, quickly release the pressure and carefully remove the lid.
  9. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the chicken and serve immediately.
