- 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) black pepper
- 2 cups (400 g) cooked white rice
- 1 cup (150 g) shredded carrots
- 1 cup (100 g) sliced cucumbers
- 1/2 cup (50 g) sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) sesame seeds
- For the Creamy Gochujang Sauce:
- 1/4 cup (60 g) Korean chili paste
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lime juice
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring it’s well-coated.
- Cover and refrigerate the beef for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
- While the beef marinates, prepare the gochujang sauce.
- In a small bowl, combine gochujang, mayonnaise, lime juice, honey, and water, mixing until smooth.
- Set the sauce aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer.
- Cook the beef for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Divide the cooked white rice among serving bowls.
- Top each bowl with cooked beef, shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, and green onions.
- Drizzle the creamy gochujang sauce over each bowl.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
