Description
Deliciously nostalgic cookies that blend oats, chocolate, and pecans for a delightful treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the softened butter and sugars together for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, then gradually incorporate it into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and pecans until evenly distributed.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets, spacing about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly underdone.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For deeper flavors, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
